The complete remodelling of a nineteenth century house in Notting Hill; the addition of another floor and the formation of a basement under the property. The whole of the house has been redesigned to provide a studio and home with a spectacular new stair connecting all floors. A solid stair in the basement changes to a lightweight open timber stair from the ground floor to the second floor and finally to a glass stair up to the roof terrace thus ensuring the maximum light penetration into the deep plan.
