Complete remodelling and refurbishment of a Victorian terrace including the excavation of a basement with front, central and rear lightwells providing fresh air and daylight deep into the building. A new central steel framed, top lit, curved staircase connects each level. Dual aspect and connectivity between rooms have been incorporated to almost every space creating a series of vistas throughout. Tactile, reclaimed, handmade materials and a bold colour palette create a unique series of contrasting, rich and open spaces. The detailing and materials have been kept consistent and simple, with junctions honestly expressed and carefully considered.
